System / Policy Analysis and Change

Description

S/PAC = System / Policy Analysis and Change

The System/Policy Assessment and Change Project (S/PAC) has two sub-projects that address policy and system issues that are relevant to the successful transition of young adults to self-determined community living and community participation:

  • Policy Focus 1 (PF1): Document and analyze the processes, strategies, and outcomes by which organized groups of young adults engage in policy analysis and action relevant to transition; will consist of a study of advocacy organizations, run by young adults, and their experience in making change to major policies.
  • Policy Focus 2 (PF2): Research and document relevant issues related to policy that are important to youth and young adults with mental health challenges.

The activities within each of these two sub-projects will include technical assistance, training, and dissemination.
