Upcoming Webinar: "Introduction to the Psychosis-Risk Syndrome"
Date/Time: Friday, February 24, 2017, 9am – 10:30am PT / 12pm – 1:30pm ET
As our communities work to identify psychosis, we are beginning to explore effective methods of earlier identification. Barbara Walsh, PhD will provide an overview and introduction to the Psychosis-Risk Syndrome and implications for the field. This webinar, hosted by Portland State University, a core partner in the TA Network, is part of a series of events planned for the coming year focused on Psychosis-Risk Syndrome.

Pathways Transition Training: Available for Service Providers
Want to increase your skills for working with young people with mental health conditions? Like the convenience of free online training? Pathways Transition Training Partnership has developed 10 one-hour online training modules sharing research-based knowledge for strength-based services, increasing family and community support, youth recovery, and youth voice. Continuing education hours or certificates of completion are available for those who successfully complete modules.

Supporting Urban Native American Youth
Pathways researcher Barbara Friesen's recent article appeared in the National Clearinghouse on Families & Youth. The article focuses on the transition needs of urban Native American youth as well as culturally-based practices that provide support. This article was part of a special issue of the Journal of Behavioral Health Services & Research that featured a number of Pathways researchers.

Strategies for Youth Involvement in Evaluation
Youth MOVE National recently produced two webinars that describe the importance of involving youth in evaluation activities and provide pratical strategies for doing so. Brianne Masselli, Director of Technical Assistance and Evalution with Youth MOVE National joined Kritin Thorp, also with Youth MOVE National, to present this webinar series. Learning Community on Understanding Youth Who Are Sexual Orientation / Gender Identity / Expression Diverse
Date/Time: Thursday, February 23, 2017, 12pm – 1pm PT / 3pm – 4pm ET
This Family Leaders Learning Community (LC) will help family organization leaders respond to issues facing LGBTQI2-S youth and their families. It will focus on terminology and the diversity within and among LGBTQI2-S communities, as well as information on when children and teens may begin to express gender identity questions.

Training Opportunity: Native STAND
The Native STAND (Students Together Against Negative Decisions) Program is a positive youth development program that builds decision-making skills on healthy relationships, STD/HIV prevention, and reproductive health. It was developed by a national working group comprised of AI/AN youth, elders, and professionals. This training is appropriate for educators and prevention specialists in the areas of health, human/social services, education and juvenile justice.
