New Articles from Pathways RTC

The Journal of Behavioral Health Services & Research (JBHS&R) will soon release a special "overflow issue" featuring articles by Pathways RTC authors. The special overflow issue will include a new introduction and an article about predicting positive educational outcomes for youth in mental health systems of care. The full text of all of these articles, and those previously included in a special issue, are available on our web site.

Upcoming Webinar: Supporting LGBTQ+ Youth Mental Health

Date/Time: Tuesday, September 20, 9:30am – 10:30am PST / 12:30pm – 1:30pm EST

This webinar will highlight the need for supportive treatment strategies by opening with a young adult's personal reflections on her experience of conversion therapy. Next, panelists will describe the clinical considerations related to AFFIRM, a CBT coping skills group intervention for LGBTQ+ youth. They will also describe findings from a new study about the AFFIRM intervention.

Webinar Series: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis

The Early Assessment and Support Alliance (EASA) in partnership with the National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC) for Children's Behavioral Health has produced a directory of early intervention programs for psychosis within the U.S. The directory features expanded national, state, and program information as well as new sections on national resources, state contacts and program criteria.

The National Wraparound Initiative Needs Help Developing an Online Training!

The NWI has been developing a series of online, video-based Wraparound training boosters that illustrate key practice principles with footage from actual Wraparound sessions. Help out by signing up to take the next booster training and giving feedback. This project is slated to start in October 2016. Participation is completely voluntary and incentives are available. 27th Annual National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health Conference

The conference brings together family members, young adults, and professionals in a safe setting, free from stigma and one that celebrates skills and successes. Each year, the conference generates a large amount of discussion on the current issues and trends pertaining to children's mental health from the perspective of a family-driven and youth-guided approach.
