New Resources from the Pathways Transition Training Partnership

We are pleased to announce the release of the next three online modules in our training series for providers working with youth and young adults. These modules focus on increasing cultural awareness, fostering resilience and promoting cross-cultural and intergenerational relationships. These modules were prepared for The Technical Assistance Network for Children’s Behavioral Health under contract between the University of Maryland and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (Contract #HHSS280201300002C).

New Research on Reducing Recidivism in Young Adults

Researchers with Transitions RTC tested a modified version of MST (Multi-Systemic Therapy) as a possible evidence-based intervention for young adults with SMHC and justice system involvement. Results indicated high levels of client satisfaction with significant reductions in justice system involvement.

2015 Edition of Early Psychosis Intervention Projects National Directory

The EASA Center for Excellence and the Foundation for Excellence in Mental Healthcare published the second edition of the National Directory in January 2015. It contains updated contact and basic program information for 70 early psychosis intervention projects in 18 states.

Meeting the Needs of Youth with Substance Use Disorders (SUD)

SAMHSA and CMCS have released an informational bulletin to help states design benefits that meet the needs of youth with SUD while complying with Medicaid requirements. The bulletin also identifies other resources available to states in designing and implementing these benefit packages.
